£95-£110 per day | Immediate Start | Long‑Term & Short‑Term Roles
As Veritas Education continue our growth across Teesside, we are seeing increasing demand for Behaviour Support Assistants to support children and young people with SEMH needs and additional learning needs across Middlesbrough secondary and specialist provisions.
We are recruiting individuals who can bring stability, empathy and resilience to students who require tailored support to engage positively in education.
About the Roles:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH, anxiety, behavioural needs, low engagement or trauma‑related barriers
- Working 1:1 or within small groups to help young people regulate, access learning and develop positive routines
- Opportunities available for day-to-day, short‑term blocks and long‑term supply
- Typical hours: full‑time, term‑time
- Daily pay: £95-£110 (dependant on experience)
Who We're Looking For:
Experience working with:
- Vulnerable young people
- Children with complex needs
- Youth work, care, mentoring or behaviour support environments
Personal qualities such as patience, consistency, resilience and the ability to build trust quickly are highly desirable.
Requirements:
- DBS on the Update Service (we can assist with this if needed)
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to supporting young people
