We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Primary Teacher to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Wandsworth. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners who require additional emotional and behavioural support.
The Role:As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH needs. You will play a key role in creating a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment that supports both academic progress and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Previous experience working in an SEMH setting - desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Valid Child and Adult DBS - essential
