We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Secondary English and Maths Teacher to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Wandsworth for an immediate start.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting young people with additional needs and helping them re-engage with education.
The Role:
Deliver engaging English and Maths lessons to secondary-aged students.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual learning and emotional needs of pupils with SEMH needs.
Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that supports behaviour management and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and leadership to support student progress.
Track student development and provide feedback to support academic and personal growth.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Strong knowledge of the secondary English and Maths curriculum.
Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
Excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
