SEMH Support AssistantSecondary School, Hammersmith
Start: ASAP Full‑time, long‑term Veritas Education
We're supporting a secondary school in Hammersmith who are looking for an SEMH Support Assistant to join them as soon as possible. The school has a friendly, supportive inclusion team and is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students and help them stay engaged in lessons.
What the role involves
- Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Working 1:1 or with small groups (Interventions)
- Helping with emotional regulation and behaviour routines
- Working closely with the SEN and pastoral teams
- Keeping students focused and encouraging positive choices
Who we're looking for
Someone who is:
- Patient, calm and confident around young people
- Able to manage behaviour in a positive, consistent way
- Experienced with SEMH, PRUs, or challenging behaviour (school or youth work background also welcome)
- Reliable and ready to start quickly
