Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Wakefield area to recruit a dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to join a supportive department focused on delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring positive pupil outcomes.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum and maintaining the high standards expected by the Department for Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Engage positively with staff, parents, and pupils to contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings and whole-school CPD.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school (ECTs are also encouraged to apply).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain high expectations.
