About the Nursery

We are working with a well-established, independent nursery in Leeds that provides high-quality care in a warm, inclusive, and diverse environment. The nursery is growing and offers a supportive, family-feel workplace. A rare opportunity has arisen to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager.

About the Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager with the daily running of the setting while maintaining outstanding early years practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting management and leading staff across the nursery

  • Ensuring EYFS, safeguarding, and welfare standards are met

  • Supporting children's learning, development, and well-being

  • Acting as a role model within rooms and stepping in for the Manager when required

  • Building strong relationships with staff and families

  • Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years Qualification (DfE recognised)

  • Experience working in a childcare setting

  • Leadership or management experience

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
