Veritas Education are looking for flexible individuals for Daily Supply Teaching Assistant Bookings for secondary schools in and around North East London. This role is open to people with either full or part time ability, and involves being contacted in the morning for teaching assistant roles in the local area on the same day.
Work becomes available the morning of, usually around 7am, so you must be comfortable with being contacted morning of. The school are looking for people with experience within a seoncdary school environment/with secondary aged children (11-16).
This role would be great for people who want to work either full or part time, either on set days or a more flexible schedule. This is also suitable for University students with a part time schedule
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant
- Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects
- Helping children with special educational needs
- Engaging with students for 4-5 periods
- Treating children with respect and kindness as a teaching assistant
Job Requirements to be a Teaching Assistant:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)
- Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
- Experience working with secondary aged children, informally or formally
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable for a Teaching Assistant:
- An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
