Start: ASAP Contract: Long‑term temporary or permanent Hours: Full-time, Term-Time Only + 2 weeks Location: Middlesbrough Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Are you an organised, confident and proactive school administrator looking to make a real impact within a busy primary school environment? We are recruiting for a School Administrator to join a large, vibrant primary school in Middlesbrough, supporting the smooth running of the school office.
About the Role
This is a key front‑of‑house position where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to senior leaders, teachers and wider staff
- Managing emails, phone calls and visitor enquiries
- Maintaining school records and databases
- Supporting attendance processes and safeguarding administration
- Handling general office duties, photocopying, filing and updating documentation
- Covering reception when required, offering a warm and professional welcome
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a school office or educational setting is highly advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Confident communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
- Strong IT skills (SIMS/Arbor experience beneficial but not essential)
- A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
