Teacher of Business & Economics (KS5 Economics) Location: Erith, South East London Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS - paid to scale
We are working on behalf of a successful secondary school in the Erith area to recruit a Teacher of Business and Economics, with the role mainly focused on teaching Economics at KS5.
This is a permanent position starting in April, offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school with a strong sixth form and a commitment to high academic standards.
The role:
Predominantly KS5 Economics teaching
Potential to teach Business Studies at KS4/KS5 depending on experience
Full-time, permanent contract
Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
The ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS (or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification)
Have experience teaching Economics at KS5 (or be confident to do so)
Be passionate about subject delivery and student achievement
Be an ECT or experienced teacher - both are encouraged to apply
Have strong classroom management and organisational skills
