Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (PPA Cover)
Location: Primary Schools in Blackburn, Darwen & Accrington Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Description:
We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide PPA cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a range of primary schools. This role involves delivering pre‑planned lessons, supporting whole‑class learning, and maintaining a positive, engaging classroom environment in the teacher's absence.
You will work with a variety of classes and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning and supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering prepared lessons to whole classes during PPA time
- Supporting pupils' learning and behaviour management
- Following and adapting lesson materials where appropriate
- Working collaboratively with school staff to maintain a consistent learning environment
- Providing additional support to groups or individuals as directed
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting learning across primary year groups
- Confidence delivering pre‑planned lessons to whole classes
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
