SEN Teaching Assistant - Tottenham Location: Tottenham, North London Setting: Mainstream Primary School (2 Form Entry) Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing Contract: Full-time, term-time only
We are recruiting a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream 2-form entry primary school in Tottenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEN TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream classroom environment.
The Role:
- Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN within a mainstream primary setting
- Working 1:1 and in small groups across the primary age range
- Supporting children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and learning difficulties
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Helping pupils to engage, build confidence, and make academic progress
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Experience in a mainstream primary school is essential
- Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
