Location: Northwood, Middlesex Employment: Full‑time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm Salary: Dependent on experience, £110-130 per day Start date: As soon as possible

The Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with complex ASD needs, working under the guidance of the class teacher, SENCO, and wider multidisciplinary team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and who can bring patience, consistency, and creativity to the role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting a child with complex ASD through structured routines, sensory strategies, and tailored learning
- Implementing behaviour support plans and promoting emotional regulation
- Working towards EHCP targets and contributing to progress reviews
- Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure joined‑up support
- Using sensory resources and activities to help the child access learning
- Supporting communication, social interaction, and independence
- Helping maintain a calm, safe, and well‑organised classroom environment
- Assisting with adapted activities, interventions, and personalised learning tasks
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience supporting children with complex ASD needs
- Brings confidence in behaviour support, sensory work, and EHCP implementation
- Has experience across Early Years and Primary settings
- Works effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Is reliable, patient, and consistent in their approach
- Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
- Is committed to inclusive practice and supporting every child to thrive
