Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Experienced) Location: Waltham Forest, London Pay: £85-£115 per day Job Type: Full-time / Long-term Start Date: ASAP
Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in Waltham Forest. This role is ideal for a confident and committed SEN TA who has a proven track record of supporting pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Support pupils within the classroom and during interventions
Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Implement EHCPs and individual support plans
Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential
Experience supporting children with complex needs in a school setting
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour when required
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
