SEN Teaching Assistants - Teesside
Location: Teesside (Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar & Cleveland, Darlington) Pay: £90-£105 per day Contract: Short-term & long-term temporary positions Start Date: January or ASAP
Due to continued growth across the Teesside area, Veritas Education are now actively seeking passionate, enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a range of specialist schools. Many of our partner schools cater for students with SEMH, ASD, and other complex learning needs, and we are looking to build a strong team of high-quality support staff who truly want to make a difference.
These roles offer an incredible opportunity to work closely with young people who require patience, understanding and tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
You will be working with children and young people who may present with a variety of additional needs, including:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Communication & Interaction needs
- Behavioural or attachment needs
- Complex learning difficulties
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting learning in small groups or 1:1
- Helping to regulate behaviour using positive strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider pastoral teams
- Promoting confidence, engagement and emotional well-being
We would love to speak to individuals who:
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
- Are resilient, empathetic and committed to making a positive impact
- Have experience working with children or young people (advantageous)
- Hold a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
- Are open to ongoing CPD and personal development
