Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Dewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, assist with lesson delivery, and offer one-to-one or small group interventions for students who need additional help. You will play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment and ensuring every student feels supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils across a range of subjects within the classroom.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Provide targeted support for students with additional needs (SEND).
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
