Job Title: Unqualified Teacher (Primary School)
Location: Blackburn
Job Description:
We are seeking confident and experienced individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teachers, supporting primary schools across Blackburn. This role involves teaching classes using lessons that have been fully planned and prepared for you, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. It's an excellent opportunity for those with strong classroom experience to step into a teaching role.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to primary classes (EYFS, KS1, KS2)
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils with their learning and answer questions where needed
- Collect completed work and provide feedback to the appropriate teacher
- Follow safeguarding and behaviour management procedures
Requirements:
- Extensive experience working in schools at a higher level (e.g., HLTA or Cover Supervisor)
- Previous experience teaching whole classes independently
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Preferable Experience:
- Experience delivering lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Experience supporting pupils with diverse learning needs
