Job Title: Marketing & Communications Officer
Location: Ealing Contract: Full-Time, (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) Start Date: ASAP - Interviews ongoing Responsible to: Administration Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Officer to lead and deliver internal and external communications initiatives that promote the school and ensure effective engagement across all departments. This is a key role within the school community, requiring creativity, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, alumni, and the wider community.
Main Purpose- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy to enhance the school's profile.
- Coordinate high-quality communication internally and externally, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Manage digital platforms, publications, and media engagement to showcase the school's achievements and ethos.
Key ResponsibilitiesDigital & Social Media
- Manage the school's website, email inbox, and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
- Create, edit, and upload engaging news content and stories that reflect the school's values.
- Work with senior staff to maintain fresh, accurate, and compelling website content.
- Increase online presence and engagement through targeted social media strategies.
Publications & Print Media
- Produce newsletters for staff, students, and parents.
- Manage the production of the bi-annual review magazine, including commissioning, editing, and proofreading content.
- Coordinate design and content for all school publications with external printers and designers.
Advertising & Media Relations
- Draft press releases on school activities, events, and achievements for local and national media.
- Liaise with newspapers, magazines, and specialist publications for advertising and editorial opportunities.
- Ensure all print and digital copy meets deadlines and specifications.
Events & Community Engagement
- Support the organisation of Open Days, Awards Evenings, concerts, and other key events.
- Develop links with feeder schools, businesses, and community partners.
- Coordinate photography and videography for events and day-to-day school life.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure adherence to GDPR, Data Protection, and safeguarding policies.
- Archive materials in line with the school's archive plan.
- Operate within all school policies, including ICT and Health & Safety.
What We're Looking For- Strong communication and writing skills with an eye for detail.
- Experience in managing websites, social media, and digital marketing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external partners.
- Creative approach to storytelling and brand promotion.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations.
