Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a small, mixed independent specialist school in Stockton-on-Tees. The school supports pupils aged 5-18 years with a diverse range of needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and ASD, and prides itself on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to meet the needs of learners with SEND.
- Create engaging, personalised learning plans that support academic and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate
- A confident and adaptable practitioner with experience in SEND settings.
- Strong understanding of strategies for supporting SEMH, ADHD, and ASD.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
