Nursery Manager - Temp to Perm
Location: Blackburn (BB2) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Salary: £36,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) Start Date: Immediate
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a private nursery in Blackburn. It is a fantastic opportunity to shape the nursery and create an outstanding environment for children and staff. The role will start on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards.
- Lead and motivate a dedicated team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and operational excellence.
- Manage budgets, occupancy, and staff rotas effectively.
- Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing an Ofsted-registered nursery achieving Good or Outstanding ratings.
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or equivalent desirable).
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of EYFS and statutory requirements.

- Experience
- Managing Ofsted inspections with Good or Outstanding outcomes, recruiting and developing staff teams, implementing EYFS curriculum and compliance, budget and occupancy management, strong safeguarding knowledge, building positive parent and community relationships.
- Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 desirable), Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training, strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
