Early Years Practitioner - Long-Term Placement (York)
Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified | Up to £14.00/hr | Long-Term Agency Contract
Are you a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner looking for stability, flexibility, and the chance to make a lasting impact? We have an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator to join one of our valued private day nursery clients in York on a long-term placement.
About the Role:
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Hours: 8-9 hour shifts, 4 or 5 days per week
Contract: 8-week block bookings with potential for rolling extensions
Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualification)
You'll be working in a warm, welcoming nursery setting that follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing. Your role will include planning engaging activities, supporting key children, and contributing to a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care and education in line with EYFS standards
Support children's physical, emotional, and social development
Maintain accurate observations and assessments
Work collaboratively with nursery staff and parents
Promote safeguarding and health & safety at all times
Requirements:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
Experience in a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of EYFS and child development
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children
