About the Role:We are currently working with a nursery in Central London looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and ready to support all aspects of nursery life-from creating schedules and managing administration to assisting on the floor and opening/closing the nursery. You will help foster children's development, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and ensure the nursery runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nursery Manager with day-to-day nursery operations
- Run the nursery floor, engage with children, and support staff
- Prepare schedules and rotas
- Perform administrative duties and general office work
- Open and close the nursery, ensuring safety and compliance
- Support cleaning, tidying, and maintaining a safe environment
- Be a role model for staff and uphold nursery policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Level 3 childcare qualification (essential)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a deputy or 3rd-in-command role in a nursery (flexible for the right candidate)
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Willingness to work across all areas of the nursery
