Veritas Education is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them to thrive in a classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Support students with EHCPs and ensure their individual needs are met
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (in any setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in supporting students with SEND
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Veritas)
