We are working with a fantastic SEN School in Hildenborough that is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
???? Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and promoting positive learning.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
- Encourage independence and social development.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals.
✅ Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviour is essential.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting SEN students.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
