Veritas Education is working with a supportive and well-established primary SEN provision in Romford, looking to appoint a Speech and Language Therapist or Makaton Specialist to support pupils with communication and developmental needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language interventions to pupils with EHCPs
- Use Makaton and other communication strategies to support access to learning
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across EYFS and primary key stages
- Liaise with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
- Assist with progress monitoring and contribute to EHCP reviews
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist or experienced Makaton-trained professional
- Previous experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs
- Confident, patient, and able to adapt to a dynamic school environment
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEN
