Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Bolton. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
- Plan and implement effective learning activities across core and foundation subjects.
- Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs), particularly in Years 5 and 6.
- Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform planning.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and additional needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, clubs, and enrichment activities.
- Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and promote pupil wellbeing.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications & Experience- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience supporting pupils through SATs preparation and academic transitions.
Desirable Skills & Experience- Experience supporting children with SEND or SEMH needs.
- Familiarity with schemes such as White Rose Maths, Talk for Writing, or similar.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Ability to lead a subject area or mentor Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

- Experience
- Strong understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum, including core subjects: English, Maths, Science, and foundation subjects. Experience teaching upper KS2 (Years 5-6), including SATs preparation and assessment. Confident in delivering grammar, punctuation, and spelling (GPS) lessons.
