We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team at a primary school in Leyland. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing the best possible education for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages pupils to achieve their full potential
- Monitor and assess pupils' progress, and provide regular feedback to pupils and parents/carers
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the Year 1 team and wider school community
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to support personal and professional growth
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience of teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 1 or a similar age range
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
