Job Title: Early Career Teacher (ECT) - Primary
Location: Bolton
Salary: M1 - M2 (dependent on experience)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our vibrant primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is eager to begin their teaching career in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the National Curriculum, a commitment to inclusive education, and the ability to inspire and engage pupils of all abilities. Applications are welcome from ECTs with experience or interest in SEN, pastoral care, or mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the primary age range (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress using formative and summative methods.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers.
- Implement school behaviour policies and promote positive behaviour management strategies.
- Participate in professional development and reflective practice as part of the ECT induction programme.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - must be held at the time of appointment.
- Degree-level education (BA/BSc or equivalent).
- Completion of Initial Teacher Training (e.g. PGCE).
- Classroom experience through placements or voluntary work.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism and ADHD.
- Familiarity with EHCPs, IEPs, and differentiated planning.
- Training in phonics schemes (e.g. Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds).
- Experience in pastoral roles or wellbeing support.
