Veritas Education is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join inclusive and supportive schools across the Hackney area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. You will work 1:1 with pupils or support small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH)
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive learning behaviours and student engagement
- Assist with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Monitor and report on student progress
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in education or care settings
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting student development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
