Location: Hartlepool School Type: Mixed Primary School (Ages 3-11) Start Date: October 2025 Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience working with pupils across a range of SEN needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mixed primary school in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children aged 3-11, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support pupils both in class and in small group or one-to-one settings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
