Veritas Education is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Newham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.
Role Overview:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
- Work one-to-one and in small groups under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
- Support the implementation of individual education plans and behaviour strategies
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Assist with personal care when required (training can be provided)
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, either in school or alternative settings
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A genuine interest in supporting the development and well-being of students
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
