Job Title: Principal (Alternative Provision) Salary: Outer London Leadership Pay Scale L21-L27 (£85,396-£98,280) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: West Drayton, UB7
Job Summary
Lead an alternative provision supporting students aged 5-19 who are unable to attend mainstream school. You will champion educational inclusion, build a trauma-informed environment, and drive student reintegration or progression to further education, training, or employment. A visionary, empathetic leader, you'll shape inclusive culture, strong community partnerships, and responsive learning programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead staff with dedication and promote professional growth.
- Ensure a student-centred, trauma-informed approach to meet diverse needs.
- Guide curriculum strategy for academic, personal, and life skill development.
- Strengthen engagement with families, community, and external partners.
- Advocate for students with SEND, shaping awareness and best practices.
- Manage resources to maintain a safe, inclusive, and effective learning space.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve outcomes and strategy.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial senior leadership experience.
- Proven track record supporting young people with SEND and/or challenging behavior.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strategic, adaptable, and operationally focused mindset.
