Daily Supply Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools Location: South East London Start Date: September 2025 Working Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (Flexible, Term-Time Only) Pay: £100- £125 a day
Are you a flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for day-to-day work in primary schools across South East London? Veritas Education is currently recruiting Daily Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of friendly and welcoming KS1 and KS2 classrooms in South East London. Whether you're an experienced TA or just beginning your journey in education, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a range of school settings starting from September 2025.
We are looking for adaptable individuals who are happy to work on a flexible, daily supply basis, supporting class teachers and pupils - including children with special educational needs (SEN).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing general classroom support across KS1 and KS2
- Working with small groups or individual pupils, including those with additional needs
- Supporting class teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Helping children stay engaged, focused, and included in all learning activities
- Adapting tasks where necessary to meet individual pupils' needs
- Assisting with transitions and managing behaviour in a calm and positive way
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with primary-aged children (KS1 and/or KS2), ideally in a school or educational setting
- Some knowledge or experience of working with special educational needs
- A flexible and proactive attitude - comfortable adapting to different school environments and age groups
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and pupils
- A passion for education and helping children succeed
Requirements:
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to purchase a new DBS and register it
- Right to work in the UK
- Availability to work from September 2025
- Willingness to register with Veritas Education over the summer break (registration involves an interview, references, and DBS checks)
