Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for a part-time opportunity in a supportive and welcoming primary school?
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a fantastic primary school in the Morecambe area to recruit a Year 1 class teacher for a job-share role starting in September 2025.
This is a three-day-per-week position, likely covering Monday to Wednesday, and will continue for at least the Autumn term, with potential to extend.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Year 1 lessons tailored to the National Curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with your job-share partner to ensure seamless classroom continuity.
- Monitor, assess, and support pupil progress-contributing to reports and parent communications.
- Maintain classroom routines and positive learning environments.
- Participate in staff collaboration, CPD sessions, and school-based events.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified teacher with valid QTS, ideally with KS1 experience (ECTs welcome).
- Demonstrates strong classroom management, organization, and adaptability.
- Passionate about early years education and committed to nurturing each child's development.
- Flexible team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary & Contract
- Paid pro-rata on the LCC main/upper pay scale (~£31,650-£43,607 for full-time; job-share equates to approx. £15,825-£21,803 for 0.5 FTE).
- Fixed-term contract running from September until Christmas (with scope to extend).
