Location: Barnet, North London Salary: £105-£110 per day (Term time only) Contract: Full-time | 8:15am - 4:00pm | September 2025 start Trial Days Available: June 2025 Contract Type: Long-term (academic year) with opportunity for permanent role
Are you a Histroy graduate with a passion for education and inspiring young minds? Join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Barnet as a History Graduate Teaching Assistant this September. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students in Humanities subjects, gain hands-on classroom experience, and build a pathway toward a career in teaching or education.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting KS3 and KS4 students in History lessons - helping explain key concepts and case studies
Leading small group interventions to reinforce knowledge and improve understanding
Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities
Providing 1:1 academic and pastoral support where needed
Supporting in other Humanities subjects such as Geography or RS when required
What We're Looking For:
A degree in History or a closely related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
Strong communication and organisational skills
A passion for working with young people and helping them succeed
A friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic approach
Any experience working with students or in a school setting is a bonus but not essential
