Behavioural Support Assistant
Pay: £90-£110 per day
Full-time/ Term Time only

Are you passionate about supporting young people with behavioural needs? Do you have the patience, resilience, and empathy to make a real difference in their lives?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team as schools over North London. In this vital role, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support to fully access their education.
Behavioural Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
- Implement and support behaviour management strategies under the guidance of the SENCO or Behaviour Lead
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement, self-esteem, and positive choices
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create and maintain a supportive learning environment
- Support students in managing and understanding their emotions and behaviours
- Keep accurate records of incidents and progress as required
Behavioural Support Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, residential care, or similar)
- Calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
