Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School Location: Orpington, Greater London Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience supporting primary-aged pupils with additional needs?
Veritas Education is working on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Orpington, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
The Role:
Supporting children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies
Assisting with classroom activities, sensory breaks, and emotional regulation support
Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting
A calm, patient, and flexible approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
