Position: Speech and Language Therapist Location: West Drayton, London Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Start Date: ASAP Salary: £200 - £230 Daily (D.O.E) Closing Date: 17/04/2025
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of primary-aged students in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting? We are seeking a dynamic and skilled therapist to join our supportive team and help children with a variety of communication difficulties to develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs of primary-aged students with SEN.
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans to support students' communication development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to implement strategies and track progress.
- Provide advice and training to school staff on supporting students with speech and language difficulties.
- Regularly monitor and review student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Ensure all documentation and records are up to date and in line with school policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
- HCPC registered and a member of RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
- Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly within an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of a range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to work flexibly to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Ability to create engaging therapy sessions that are accessible and enjoyable for children.
