- Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (through to 2025), 8:30am-4pm

A delightful Catholic Infant school in Burnt Oak are looking for a dedicated and supportive learning support assistant to join their Year 5 classroom. Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to provide 1-1 support for a child in Year 5 with autism. This role is essential in helping the student academically, emotionally and socially, as well as maintaining focus and staying on task during class activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 support to a Year 5 student with ASD.
- Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy tasks.
- Help the child maintain focus and stay on task in class.
- Implement individualized learning strategies to support the child's academic progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Monitor and report on the child's progress and development.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in KS2 is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- A valid Child Workforce DBS on the update service is essential. We can help with this!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
