SENCO Required for Immediate Start at School in Blackpool
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a dynamic team at an SEN school in Blackpool. As a SENCO, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of special educational needs support, ensuring that all students with additional needs receive the appropriate care and resources to reach their full potential.
Location: Blackpool, UK
Position Type: Full-time, temporary (until the end of the academic year)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to assess students' needs and provide necessary support.
- Monitor the progress of students with SEN and make adjustments to their support plans as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for supporting students with SEN.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and support interventions.
- Stay up-to-date with current SEN legislation and best practices.
Requirements:
- Qualified SENCO with relevant qualifications and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
