We are currently seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Blackburn with Darwen Primary School
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Key Responsibilities: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a stimulating learning environment and supporting the educational development of our students. Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective Time Management and Flexibility: Ability to efficiently manage time and adapt to the evolving needs of the classroom environment.
  • Motivation and Inspiration: Inspire and motivate pupils to reach their full potential, setting high expectations for their academic and personal growth.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Utilize initiative to tackle challenges that may arise in the course of the job, ensuring smooth operation of classroom activities.
  • Building Positive Relationships: Foster positive relationships with all students, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school staff, parents/carers, and external stakeholders to promote student welfare and academic success.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold confidentiality at all times, respecting the privacy of students and their families.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize IT resources effectively to support and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Adherence to School Policies: Understand and implement school policies related to Safeguarding, Behavior, Equality, and Health and Safety to ensure the well-being of all students.
  • Community Engagement: Demonstrate a commitment to the wider school community, actively participating in school events and initiatives.
  • Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Relevant experience in an educational setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young lives.
  • Proficiency in using IT tools to support learning activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant school policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and staff.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications are desirable.

    Experience
    - Knowledge of child development - Experience of working within a school in Key stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Early Years.
    Qualifications
    -HLTA qualification ( Level 4 aimed specifically at teaching assistants who have some experience working within a school or similar environment. -Committed to ongoing professional development.
