Veritas education are working with a school that are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is comfortable being firm yet fair and who is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and enforcing school rules and behaviour management strategies consistently.
- Working closely with students with SEN, providing tailored support and assistance to help them succeed academically and socially.
- Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and providing one-on-one support to students as needed.
- Monitoring student behaviour and intervening proactively to address any issues that arise.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff members to develop and implement individualised behaviour plans for students with challenging behaviours.
Requirements:
- A firm but fair approach to behaviour management, with the ability to enforce rules and maintain discipline in a consistent manner.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, in an educational or similar setting.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and address issues as they arise.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
