The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and enforcing school rules and behaviour management strategies consistently.
  • Working closely with students with SEN, providing tailored support and assistance to help them succeed academically and socially.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and providing one-on-one support to students as needed.
  • Monitoring student behaviour and intervening proactively to address any issues that arise.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff members to develop and implement individualised behaviour plans for students with challenging behaviours.
  • Requirements:

  • A firm but fair approach to behaviour management, with the ability to enforce rules and maintain discipline in a consistent manner.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, in an educational or similar setting.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and address issues as they arise.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have legal right to work in the UK
  • You must be willing to attend a registration interview
  • Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
