An Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' secondary school based in Chorley are looking for a Drama Teacher to start ASAP on a part time basis.
An 11-16 mixed community High School which caters for students of all abilities and backgrounds based on the outskirts of Preston, Lancashire serving an extensive rural and suburban area. It is a larger than average 'Outstanding' High School with around 900 students on roll and is heavily over-subscribed each year. The school's reputation is built upon the traditions of high academic standards within a caring and supportive environment, behaviour is exemplary and results are consistently above the county and national averages.
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A relevant honours degree
Essential Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year teaching experience
- Experience of teaching up to KS3/4
- An in depth knowledge of the GCSE Drama curriculum
- Good understanding of engaging teaching methods
- Ability to engage, enthuse & motivate students
- Understanding of the use of assessment for Planning
