Position: Computer Science Teacher Location: Sheffield Pay Scale: M1-UPS3 + TLR (Teacher's Leadership Responsibility) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:15 - 15:30
Are you an experienced and passionate Computer Science teacher looking for a leadership role in a dynamic educational environment? Join us at Veritas Education working for a Secondary School in the heart of Sheffield as a new Head of Computer Science Teacher.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Computer Science department, providing vision, direction, and support to colleagues.
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons, inspiring and engaging students.
- Monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic success.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Computer Science curriculum.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the field of Computer Science and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level, with a track record of excellent results.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
- A passion for Computer Science education and a commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
