Teacher of Science (Biology) - Leyland: December 2018
An Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school in Leyland are seeking a qualified Teacher of Science. The successful candidate must have experience of delivering, marking and assessing the Science Curriculum at KS3 and Biology at KS4. The department are looking for a teacher who is passionate, engaging and enthusiastic about Science. The role will be starting on 3rd December and is expected to continue until the Summer Term. The school welcome applicants from both experienced and NQT teachers.

Science (Biology) Teacher Role Information:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons to inspire and engage KS3 & KS4 pupils
- Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
- Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures
- Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
Science (Biology) Teacher Requirements:
- Have a Bachelor of Education, PGCE or UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience of teaching Biology up to GCSE level
- Have experience of teaching Science to KS3
- Be an inspirational role model; committed to their own learning and that of others
