Veritas Education is currently recruiting for a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs in a welcoming and inclusive school in Huddersfield.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist learners with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Support the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student progress.
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress where required.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Can adapt their approach to meet individual student needs.
- Is committed to supporting the educational and emotional development of young people.
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a wider school team.
