A high achieving and supportive secondary school in Haringey are looking for a Maths Coach to start in September 2026. As a Mathematics coach, you will be supporting and uplifting students studying A-level Maths and Further Maths, preparing them for both their exams and their future. This Maths Coach position is a great opportunity for a future teacher, as there is the opportunity to train to teach in your second year. This role would suit an academic Maths graduate looking to gain experience with bright young people.
As a coach, you will work on a 1-1 and small group basis with A-level students to improve their subject knowledge. You will also hold interventions and focus groups for students who could benefit from increased support, as well as tailor your teaching style to individual students needs. Working closely with students to help them develop revision techniques and preparing them for university applications is another part of the role.
Experience with children is appreciated but isn't necessary. There will also be a well structured training program and you will be strongly supported by the school throughout your time with them. The most important qualities are good subject knowledge and an interest in teaching.
