Veritas Education is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to join a dynamic secondary school in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about physical education and sports development to inspire young people and promote healthy, active lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons and sports activities across KS3 and KS4.
- Support the PE department in planning and implementing a varied sports curriculum.
- Encourage participation and teamwork through extracurricular clubs and school competitions.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
Requirements:
- Experience coaching or teaching sports in a school or community setting.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (Level 2 or above desirable).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
