Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Kirklees area. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire creativity and innovation in students across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Design Technology, covering a range of specialisms (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering).
- Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages practical skills and problem-solving.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Contribute to departmental development and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and practical expertise.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
