  • Salary: £2,240- £2,290
  • Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (through to 2026), 8:30am-4pm

    A delightful Catholic Infant school in Burnt Oak are looking for a dedicated and supportive learning support assistant to join their Reception classroom. The school prides itself on its inclusive learning environment where the individual needs of each student are given the utmost importance. This lovely school is committed to nurturing both, the academic and personal growth of every child, ensuring they receive the individualized attention they need to thrive.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to provide support for children in Reception who need additional support with hitting milestones in their development. This role is essential in helping the students with phonics, literacy, and numeracy, and will involve holding small intervention groups.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children in Reception.
  • Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy tasks.
  • Run small intervention groups.
  • Implement learning strategies to support children's academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Monitor and report on children's progress and development.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in Reception/KS1 is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • A valid Child Workforce DBS on the update service is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
