Are you looking for a fulfilling role as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a diverse and supportive school? Veritas are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and behavioural needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed both academically and emotionally. This SEN Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact.
Your role will include:
Providing tailored support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs to help them regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning
Building positive relationships and offering consistent, empathetic support
Helping to create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment

Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly SEMH or behaviour needs
Is calm, patient, and reliable, with excellent communication skills
Can work effectively as part of a team and show initiative when needed
Is committed to helping every child achieve their potential
